A fire broke out in a residence in Hulhumale's Phase I on Wednesday morning.

According to MNDF, the fire started on the terrace of a home close to Amin Avenue and the incident was reported to the authority at approximately 8:39am.

The Maldivian National Defense Force (MNDF) has further stated that the fire has been brought under control now.  Authorities has yet to disclose the cause of the fire or whether the incidence resulted in any injuries.
