Acting Pakistan High Commissioner Zulqurnain Ahmed has stated that Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal is a source of inspiration for all young Muslims everywhere and at all times.

In a statement published to commemorate the 145th birthday of the great philosopher, politician, poet, and humanist Dr. Iqbal, he conveyed these sentiments.

Pakistan celebrates Dr. Iqbal's birthday, November 9, in honor of the poet of the East, who was born on that day in 1877.

Dr. Iqbal's proposal for a separate nation where the Muslims of the subcontinent might conduct their lives in line with their religious, social, and cultural values was thanked in the message by HC Zulqurnain.

He continued by saying that the renowned poet encouraged us to develop self-confidence, work hard, and innovate in order to achieve self-reliance in every aspect of life. Additionally, he claimed that Dr. Iqbal had urged people to keep looking for creative and innovative solutions without sacrificing their religious, social, or cultural values or their own sense of self-respect, dignity, or honor.

The HC further emphasized Iqbal's deep love for the young people, saying that he had exhorted them to strive for greatness and keep looking for greater and unimaginable possibilities like a soaring eagle that knows no bounds.

The HC also discussed Iqbal's idea of Khudi (Selfhood), stating that it would continue to inspire people in their efforts to build their nation and claim their proper place in the community of countries.

It was a delight for Pakistan's Maldivian brothers and sisters to learn about Iqbal's efforts and be motivated by his message, Zulqurnain said in the statement.

He stated that we re-promise to live our lives in accordance with Dr. Allama Iqbal's teachings of fostering brotherhood, upholding the cherished ideals of liberty, justice, and equality, striving to learn about contemporary science and the arts, and embracing innovation and creation without compromising our religious, social, and cultural values and preferences.

Dr. Iqbal is credited with awakening the Muslims of the Subcontinent through his international poetry and political sagery by proposing the notion of the creation of Pakistan in his historic lecture at Allahabad in 1930.

This speech provided Muslims of the Sub-Continent with a distinct identity and a clear course for achieving Pakistan under the charismatic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
