Indian Prime Minister Modi expresses gratitude to President Dr Muizzu for election well wishes

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his gratitude to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for his well wishes following the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) victory in the 2024 Indian General Elections.

Prime Minister Modi conveyed his appreciation in a reply to President Dr Muizzu's congratulatory message on the social media platform X.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Modi, the BJP, and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for their electoral success.

In his message on X, 

I look forward to working together to advance our shared interests in pursuit of shared prosperity and stability for our two countries.

President Dr Muizzu wrote

In his response, Prime Minister Modi described the Maldives as a valued partner and neighbour in the Indian Ocean region.

He expressed his eagerness to enhance cooperation and further strengthen the bilateral relationship between India and the Maldives.

Maldives is our valued partner and neighbour in the Indian Ocean Region. I too look forward to closer cooperation for further strengthening our bilateral ties.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged a congratulatory message from Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef, expressing his anticipation of continued collaboration to deepen the partnership between the two nations.
