Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof said he was pleased with all the progress the current administration had done in paving the way for youths in the Maldives on the occasion of National Youth Day. 

Minister Mahloof stated the following in the tweet, in his tweet the government is running multiple apprenticeship programs for youth's and has created more than 20,000 jobs so far. He further explain that 15,000 students are studying under the free degree programs and MVR 474 million loan has been provided to young entrepreneurs. 

Mahloof further stated that the Maldives is now in the “golden age of sports” with efforts to develop and promote sports.

Mahloof stated that remarks to celebrate the National Youth Day is celebrated on October 22.
