Mohamed Sobah commonly known as "Chey " has been re-elected as the president of Maldivian surfing association .

In this election, vice president of surfing association Shaahid Ameen was also re-elected. As a general secretary Ali Ahusan was elected while Hussain Solah and Shazia Saeed was elected as members of surfing association of Maldives.

Previously under Sobah's presidency, the surfing association  achieved a lot.  Having an Asian surfing championship for the first time in Maldives as well as the start of a surfing league are some of the few highlights of events that was accomplished  under Sobah's leadership.

He was elected as a the president  during an election conducted by  surfing association on this week's saturday.

Surfing has been growing as a sport rapidly in Maldives. Maldivian athletes have achieved a lot by participation in international competitions.
