Speaker of the Parliament and MDP President Mohamed Nasheed has stated that he does not wish to corporate with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Nasheed made the remarks in a message sent to a WhatsApp group of the party's national council.

President Solih is scheduled to host a meeting with MDP national council in Kaafu Atoll tomorrow night while Nasheed is in the United States. Nasheed has stated he will not attend the meeting even if he was present in Male' City on the same day and described the meeting as a meeting of the President's National Council. 

In another message to Group, Nasheed stated he do not wish to do what President Solih have asked him to do. 

Nasheed and President Solih have been strained for quite some time now and both have announced that they will be contesting the presidential primary to decide the party's presidential candidate. 

However, MDP is yet to announce the date for the presidential primary.
