A young man has been sentenced to jail for spraying "India Out" on the wall of an unused building in the Maldives as part of the protest against the presence of Indian troops in the Maldives.

The young man sprayed "India Out" on the outer wall of an unused building in Shaviyani Atoll Feydhoo.  The island magistrate court sentenced the man to four months and twenty-four days.

Earlier, the criminal court had sentenced a man to one month and twenty-four days in jail for spraying "India Out" at the Former President and Current Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed's home G. Kanereege.

Since the Presidential decree from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih issued banning "India Out" many activities have slowed down.

Despite the following opposition claims that Indian Military personnel must be withdrawn from the Maldives and that the various agreements signed between the two countries are detrimental to the sovereignty of the Maldives.
