Even a jail is better than being in Jausa: Migrant Workers of Jausa
Migrant workers from the construction firm Jaah Investments (previously JAUSA Investments Pvt Ltd) protested in Hulhumale starting on Tuesday in opposition to unpaid wages and violations of their fundamental human rights.
The migrant employees are now requesting public help in getting their basic rights.
According to several Migrant workers, Jausa or Jah have overworked them day and night without unpaid wages, also noted that the company has detained them. The migrant workers stated that the company did not return their passports even for them to return home.
The migrant workers have asserted that 70 Indians, 20 Indonesians, and several other nationalities have not received payment for several months, and others have not received payment at all.
The workers also raised several alarming issues of not having access to proper food or medical care. A migrant worker speaking with the media described his feelings.

Migrant workers also explained that their passports were confiscated with workers not being shown their passports. The migrant workers also explain that the company has put their families also at risk with months of salaries not being paid out.
Jaah Investment companies or owners have not commented on the following ongoing protest even after trying to contact them.
