MIB joins 5 Million tree project with 1,000 trees planted on Kuda Giri island

In support of the Maldivian government’s ambitious goal to plant five million trees, Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has organized a tree-planting event on Kudagiri, where 1,000 trees were planted to aid national reforestation efforts.

The event held today, led by Clean Maldives in collaboration with MIB, was supported by a range of partners, including the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), Asia Forwarding, eyecare, Maldives Police Service, and The Hawks Pvt. Ltd.

MIB CEO Mufaddal Idris Khumri highlighted a large turnout of students and parents from Ghiyasuddin International School participated in the event, underscoring the community's enthusiasm for environmental initiatives.

Mufaddal, who served as the event’s guest of honor, encouraged the young participants to take personal responsibility for protecting the environment.

As one of the fastest-growing banks in the Maldives, MIB has been actively involved in community and environmental efforts, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility.

The event marks another step in MIB’s ongoing efforts to contribute to a greener and more sustainable Maldives.
