Maldives to amend laws to ban Israeli Passports
The Maldivian Cabinet has decided to amend its laws to prevent Israeli nationals from entering the country on Israeli passports.
This decision comes after months of the Maldives condemning what it describes as Israel's genocide against Palestinians and vocalizing its support for the Palestinian cause.
At a press conference held today at the President’s office, the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihusaan, disclosed that the cabinet had decided to make the legal amendments to enforce this entry ban.

While this decision was made, a bill was submitted by MDP’s MP for South Galolhu, Meekail Ahmed Naseem, proposing an amendment to the Immigration Act to ban Israeli passports.
This move reflects the Maldives' ongoing commitment to supporting Palestine and aligns its immigration policies with its stance against Israeli actions in the region.
