HDC Chairman Ahmed Zuhoor dismissed
Ahmed Zuhoor, Chairman of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), has been dismissed from his position.
The dismissal was confirmed by the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) tonight, though no specific reasons were provided.
Zuhoor, who was appointed to the chairman role by the PCB in February of this year, has held various significant government positions throughout his career.
Under the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen, Zuhoor served as the Commissioner General of Customs and later as the Managing Director of STELCO.
He also held ministerial roles as the Minister of Youth, Minister of Health, and Minister of Home Affairs.
In his earlier capacity as a Minister at the President's Office, Zuhoor chaired the Economic Council, showcasing his extensive experience in governmental affairs.
Zuhoor's dismissal marks another notable change in the leadership within the housing and development sector.
