Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has extended its support to the people of Gaza by contributing MVR 1 million to the Gaza Emergency Relief Fund, administered by the International Aid Campaign (IAC) in the Maldives.

In a social media announcement, IAC expressed gratitude to HDC for its generous donation, emphasizing the critical role it plays in aiding vulnerable populations worldwide.

The donation comes at a crucial time as Gaza continues to grapple with famine and the effects of a blockade, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis caused by Israel's occupation of Palestine.

IAC assured transparency in the distribution of HDC's donation, pledging to publish detailed reports on how the funds are allocated to benefit the affected individuals in Gaza.

Amidst ongoing attacks by Israel, Palestinians find themselves in dire circumstances, with over 33,000 lives lost, more than 76,000 injured, and 1.9 million displaced due to the persistent violence.
