Ambassador Geela Ali presents credentials to Grand Duke of Luxembourg
The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Maldives to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Geela Ali, has officially presented her Letters of Credence to Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg.
The ceremony was held on Thursday at the Grand Ducal Palace.
During a private audience following the formal presentation, Grand Duke Henri extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Geela and congratulated her on her new diplomatic role.
Ambassador Geela conveyed greetings and best wishes from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the Maldivian people, expressing the government’s commitment to further strengthening the longstanding ties between the Maldives and Luxembourg.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Geela was accompanied at the ceremony by her spouse, Abdulla Mushrif, and Mohamed Shaffau Ibrahim, First Secretary at the Embassy.
In addition to her role as the Non-Resident Ambassador to Luxembourg, Ambassador Geela also serves as the Maldives' Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union.
