In a historic move, Maldives National University (MNU) has announced plans to commemorate the International Day of Happiness for the first time in the Maldives.

The event, observed annually on March 20, holds special significance as it promotes happiness and well-being worldwide.

MNU's Faculty of Arts (FA) has organized a public forum scheduled for tonight to mark this auspicious occasion.

The forum, set to take place from 21:30 to 23:00 at the FA's B-Block Auditorium, aims to engage both the general public and school students in discussions about happiness.

Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shameem, a key organizer of the event, expressed excitement about the forum's inclusivity, welcoming attendees from diverse backgrounds.

The panelists for the evening include Dr. Ali Shameem, Mohamed Shibab (Chief Happiness Officer, The Happiness Club), and Azha Zameer (Part-time Lecturer, MNU).

Topics slated for discussion at the forum include the advantages of fostering a happy environment and strategies for promoting happiness in everyday life.
This initiative underscores MNU's commitment to holistic education and nurturing a culture of positivity and well-being within the Maldives community.
