President Muizzu expresses confidence in securing supermajority in the upcoming parliamentary elections

President Mohamed Muizzu, expressed optimism today as the PPM/PNC primary elections for the parliamentary elections kicked off earlier this morning. 

The President, who went to overlook the electoral proceedings, shared his target in an interview, stating that the party aims to secure a supermajority in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

"Insha'Allah, we will achieve a supermajority with the support of the people. we work for the benefit of the people, aiming to fulfill promises and uphold the rights of citizens," remarked President Muizzu.

When asked about the potential outcome in the parliamentary elections, President Muizzu estimated that the party is aiming for a majority of 60% of the total seats. 

Such a victory, he believes, will pave the way for a more decisive and effective governance.

The voting process commenced at 1000hrs and is scheduled to conclude at 1700hrs. The PPM/PNC coalition has 296 members across 73 constituencies contesting for the coalition's ticket.

The diverse pool of candidates highlights the democratic nature of the party's selection process and the inclusivity of political participation within the party.
