US Indo-Pacific Commander reiterates America's full support for Maldives' Independence and peace efforts

Expressing a steadfast commitment to Maldives' pursuit of independence and peace, United States Indo-Pacific Commander Admiral John Christopher Aquilino assured full support from the United States.

This declaration was made during a crucial meeting with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, highlighting the enduring alliance between the two nations.

The President's office reported that Admiral John emphasized the strong relations shared between Maldives and the United States.

In the  meeting with U.S Indo-Pacific Commander, President Muizzu acknowledged and appreciated American support, particularly in enhancing skills within the Maldivian Military, with a special focus on police training programs.

Admiral John, reiterating America's dedication, assured President Muizzu of continued support for military training programs.

Furthermore, he conveyed America's commitment to providing continuous assistance to Maldives in safeguarding its peace and sovereignty, as confirmed by the President's office.

The meeting underscored the mutual commitment to fortifying bilateral relations and collaborating on initiatives that contribute to the security and progress of Maldives.
