The Economic Ministry has announced the opening hours for eating and drinking establishments as well as good selling establishments.

Economic ministry has announced that eating and drinking establishments should only be open from 5:30 pm to 3:30 am during the days of Ramadan.

In addition, they also announced that during the first 7 days of Shawwal these establishments should only be open from 4:30 am to 3:00 am.

Regarding the opening hours of good trading establishments the Ministry annnounced that they can be kept open from 5:30 am to 1:00 am.

Hence, they requested the mentioned establishments to follow the given opening hours whilst operating in inhabited islands of Maldives.

The calendars indicate that the first day of Ramadan would fall on 23rd of this month.
