Ambassador for Bangladesh pays a courtesy visit to Male City Council mayor

The ambassador for Bangladesh H.E. Rear Admiral S.M. Abul Kalam Azad pays a courtesy visit to Male' city council mayor Dr Mohamed Muizzu .

The meeting was held at Male' City Council Bureau yesterday afternoon.

In the meeting the ambassador spoke about the close friendship between the two countries and on how to further develop the relations.

He also spoke about the assistance being provided by Male' City Council to solve the difficulties faced by Bangladesh employees residing in Maldives and creating more convenient opportunities for the employees working in Male' city council.

Abul Kalam also discussed about the recent fire incident that occurred in one of the accommodations blocks where employees of the city council were living.

He stated that he had visited the employees who were staying in temporary shelter in Hulhumale under care of city council till a permanent solution could be found and that the employees were satisfied with the accommodation.

In the meeting mayor Muizzu stated the city council was working on a permanent solution for the employees in the temporary shelter.

He also assured the ambassador that safety and facilities are being provided to the Bangladesh employees working in the City Council.

The meeting concluded with the mayor’s complete assurance that city council's full cooperation will be provided to further promote the bi lateral relations between two countries in the future.
