Maldivian court judges sent to India for training again

Judicial Service commission (JSC) has sent a large number of Maldivian court Judges to India for training purposes.

A ceremony was held last night to send off the Judges participating in the Training and Capacity Building Programmes with India’s high commission officials as well as JSC members.

This is the second batch of Maldivian court Judges that is being sent into India for training purposes.

Last year 49 judges were sent in December under an agreement made between JSC and India’s national judicial academy two years ago.

The academy which is situated in Bhopal provides training and assistance to Indian judiciary as well as to other countries like Myanmar and Bangladesh.
