The Chinese medical team has started to work upon arrival in Maldives.

The Embassy of China in Maldives tweeted today that a total of 100 patients with eye diseases were treated in the past two days by the Chinese medical team. 

Some of the eye diseases that were treated includes cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and retinal tear.

They also stated that while gradually standardizing the diagnosis process and treatment program, the team will move on to train local medical staff to perform eye surgeries, including cataract, diabetic retinopathy and pterygium. 

And that at present the experts are ready for surgeries tomorrow.
