A woman was found injured on the roof of a house in Male’ City in an incident that drew public speculation and concern.

Duo Entered Three Residences That Night

Investigation revealed the two entered three different houses during the night.

Yumna was part of a group of eight, three women and five men, who initially entered a residence in central Male’ around 12:30 a.m., leaving around 3:40 a.m.

Four of them, including Yumna and the man, then went to a house on Ameenee Magu at 4:00 a.m., staying for roughly 10 minutes.

Shortly after, Yumna and the man were seen entering a third house on Buruzu Magu, identified as H. Fentenoy, which police confirmed had no connection to either of them.

Entered Final House Barefoot, Believed to Be Intoxicated

Police stated the duo appeared intoxicated as they entered the third house around 4:30 a.m.

CCTV footage shows Yumna barefoot.

Both individuals were seen exploring different floors and attempting to enter apartments, though all units remained locked due to an automatic locking system.

Immoral Act Carried Out Inside the House

According to police, the pair committed Immoral acts on the staircase of the residence.

While this portion of the footage was not shared publicly, police confirmed the act had occurred.

Footage later shows Yumna wearing the man's T-shirt, while the man appeared shirtless.

Wandered Multiple Floors Before Incident

The two wandered through the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors for several hours before separating.

Yumna was seen alone on the 8th floor, trying to open apartment doors before climbing to the 9th floor.

At 4:52 a.m., a sound is heard on the footage, followed by the man’s scream about 33 seconds later, he was in the staircase of the 9th floor at the time.

The moment of the fall was not captured on any camera.

No Connection to the House or Its Occupants

Police confirmed the individuals had no ties to the residence.

All tenants were questioned and confirmed they did not know the man or the woman.

The man then ran between different floors of the building before heading outside and asking passers-by questions in an attempt to find her.

Woman Stabilized, Man Barred from Leaving Country

Yumna was initially admitted to the ICU at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and placed on a ventilator.

She has since been removed from ventilatory support and transferred to another ward after stabilizing.

While no arrests have been made, police have seized the man’s passport and imposed a travel ban while the investigation is ongoing.

Police Yet to Inspect Earlier Residences

During the press conference, journalists raised concerns about the investigation.

Police admitted they have yet to visit the first two residences the individuals entered that night, stating they currently see no need to do so.
