Emirati influencer Khalid to showcase Ramadan in Maldives and drive Middle Eastern travel
Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has partnered with renowned Emirati influencer Khalid Al Ameri for an exclusive familiarization (FAM) trip aimed at promoting the Maldives as a top destination for Middle Eastern travelers.
Scheduled from March 22 to 26, the visit will highlight Ramadan experiences in the Maldives, showcasing the country’s cultural and hospitality offerings to a wide audience.
Khalid Al Ameri, a Stanford University graduate, is a well-known digital storyteller with over 21 million followers across social media platforms.
His content, which focuses on bridging cultures and amplifying Islamic traditions, has made him one of the most influential figures in the Middle Eastern market.
He was recognized on Gulf Business magazine’s “100 Most Powerful Arabs” list and was the first social media personality to receive a Dubai Star on the Downtown Dubai Walk of Fame.
During his stay, Khalid is set to document his experiences in the Maldives through a series of videos, photos, and community posts on social media.
His coverage will feature key aspects of Ramadan in the Maldives, including beachfront iftar gatherings, luxury stays tailored for Middle Eastern visitors, and the country’s halal-friendly hospitality.
His posts are expected to reach millions of viewers, further strengthening the Maldives’ appeal as a premier travel destination for the Gulf region.
The Middle East remains a key market for Maldives tourism, with over 79,000 arrivals recorded in 2024, accounting for 3.9% of total tourist visits.
MMPRC’s collaboration with Khalid is part of its broader strategy to engage high-profile influencers and expand the country’s presence in global travel markets.
