The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has issued a warning about a fraudulent scheme operating under the name "Raajje Transport Link" (RTL).

According to MTCC, the scam is being promoted through a Facebook page called "Maldives Public Transport," which falsely claims to offer a "smart card" that provides free RTL travel for three months.

The company clarified that it has no affiliation with this page or the services it advertises.

MTCC urged the public to remain cautious and avoid engaging with the fraudulent page.

The company emphasized that any new service or product would be officially announced through its verified social media channels and other media platforms.

Additionally, MTCC has called on the public to report the Facebook page "Maldives Public Transport" and refrain from clicking on any links shared by it.

The company strongly condemned such deceptive activities, warning that scams of this nature could have serious economic consequences.
