Fayaz Mansoor appointed Deputy Managing Director of HDC
Fayaz Mansoor has been appointed as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), marking the first time this position has been filled under the current administration.
Fayaz officially assumed office today.
This appointment follows significant leadership changes at HDC.
On December 22, the Privatization and Corporatization Board named former Construction Minister Mohamed Mauroof Jameel as the Managing Director of HDC.
This decision came a day after the resignation of Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed, the former Managing Director, who stepped down amid allegations of corruption.
During Fazul Rasheed’s tenure, the DMD position remained vacant.
Fayaz brings extensive experience to his new role, having been a part of HDC since the initial dredging of Hulhumalé.
He holds a degree in Quantity Surveying and a Master’s degree in Building Science, equipping him with the expertise needed for the corporation's development projects.
Fayaz was appointed as DMD on December 26, 2024.
