In a speech celebrating China's 75th National Day, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu commended China's remarkable journey in economic development and technological innovation.
Speaking at the reception held in honor of the occasion, President Dr. Muizzu noted that China's progress over the decades has set a global example of how to successfully balance modernization with economic prosperity.
Highlighting China's pivotal role in the global economy, the President pointed out that the country has become a powerful economic force by staying at the forefront of development, continuously adapting and advancing its growth strategies.
He also acknowledged China's significant contributions to the Maldives, emphasizing its role as a steadfast development partner.
From major infrastructure projects like the Sinamale’ Bridge to large-scale housing initiatives, China’s participation in the Maldives' progress stands as a testament to the enduring relationship between the two nations.
In his speech, President Dr. Muizzu stressed that the Maldives-China partnership is founded on mutual trust, respect, and sovereignty.
He further shared his vision for expanding this collaboration in the future, particularly in areas such as trade, tourism, agriculture, fisheries, renewable energy, infrastructure, and cultural exchange.
The President expressed confidence that the bilateral ties would continue to grow stronger, leading to increased cooperation, new opportunities in green development, and enhanced security between the two nations.
