Maldives State Shipping (MSS) is preparing to launch shipping services to Indonesia.

The routes will connect Belawan Port in Indonesia with Port Klang in Malaysia and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The MSS graphene, the company’s own ship, will be used for these journeys.

Once the goods arrive in Colombo, they will be transported to the Maldives on MSS’s Colombo-Male’ vessels.

Thaha Mohamed, MSS's Chief Commercial Officer, noted that the route has been well-received, with 70% of the ship’s capacity filled for its inaugural trip.

Additionally, MSS continues to operate scheduled ships between Male’ and Addu City.

With agents in over 30 ports worldwide and a fleet of more than 2,500 containers, MSS now has the capability to transport goods to the Maldives from anywhere globally.
