The State Minister of the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology, Yoosuf Abdulgafoor, has been dismissed from his position.

According to the sources, he was removed from his position on the 5th of this month.

However, the government has not disclosed the exact reason for his dismissal.

Regarding this matter, the spokesperson for the President's Office, Heena Waleed, stated that Yoosuf Abdulgafoor was dismissed from the position of State Minister under the powers vested in the President by Article 115 of the Constitution.

Yoosuf Abdulgafoor, who also served as State Minister of the Home Ministry during former President Abdulla Yameen's administration, was a member of parliament representing the Gamu constituency from 2009 to 2014.
