Maldives tourism shines at PATA Travel Mart 2024 in Bangkok

Maldivian Tourism delagates at PATA Travel Mart 2024

The Maldives made a prominent appearance at the PATA Travel Mart 2024, held from August 27 to 29 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Organized by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the event took place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre and successfully concluded with the Maldives showcasing its world-renowned tourism offerings.

The Maldives was represented at the three-day event by the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) and the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC / Visit Maldives).

The event highlighted the country's stunning natural beauty, vibrant underwater scenery, and diverse wildlife, alongside promoting various holiday properties and travel opportunities available across the archipelago.

Prominent Maldivian tourism leaders, including MMPRC Chairman Abdullah Iyas Riyaz, MMPRC CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree, and MATATO CEO Aminath Suzan, attended the event, joined by other key stakeholders in the tourism industry.

Among the participants at the Maldives stand were Dhigufaru Island Resort, Furaveri Maldives, Inner Maldives, Plumeria, Ryoko Maldives, Stone Hotels Maldives, Sun Siyam Travels, and Kani Hotels and Resort.

The PATA Travel Mart served as a platform for the Maldives to showcase its wide range of experiences, from exciting water sports to serene island retreats, under the banner of "Maldives – Sunny Side of Life."

The event emphasized the Maldives as a destination that offers something for every traveler.
