The Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) has announced plans to report allegations of circulating fake certificates to Police.

In a statement released on Thursday, MQA revealed that certificates bearing the MQA logo and the signature of an MQA employee had come to their attention, raising serious concerns about the misuse of official credentials.

MQA emphasized that the unauthorized use of the logo and employee signature not only infringes on the rights of the affected employee but also poses a risk to the authority's credibility.
In a separate statement released on Thursday, MQA announced the circulation of fake O'Level and A'Level certificates, prompting the authority to advise employers to exercise caution when hiring

The MQA also clarified that since September 1, 2016, they have ceased issuing the MQA recognition logo for local exams conducted by institutions with valid registration in the Maldives.
