In a major milestone for the Maldives, water and sewerage facilities across 28 islands were officially handed over during a ceremony attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.

He emphasized that the projects would bring substantial economic benefits, uplift local economies, and collectively contribute to the prosperity of the nation.
The president also expressed deep gratitude to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian government for their continued support, underscoring the importance of these initiatives in driving the Maldives’ socio-economic growth.
Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, who is on a three-day visit to the Maldives, also addressed the gathering.
