The current government has disclosed information that was kept secret by the former government regarding an overseas trip of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

The previous government opposed sharing this information and filed a case with the High Court on March 20, 2022.

However, when the High Court ruled supporting the Information Commissioner's decision to share this information, President Solih's government appealed the case to the Supreme Court on July 7, 2023.

In this regard, a press release issued by the Attorney General's Office stated that they have advised the President's Office to share the information about former President's trip with the party who requested it.
