STO medical services launches revolutionary SD biosensor lab equipment in the Maldives

In a significant advancement for healthcare in the Maldives, STO Medical Services has launched the revolutionary SD Biosensor Lab Equipment.

The launch event, held at Lonuziyaaraiy Park in Malé, was inaugurated by the State Minister, Ms. Aminath Shirna, marking a new era in rapid and point-of-care testing for hospitals and clinics across the country.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Health Protection Agency (HPA), and major hospitals and clinics.

The new SD Biosensor Lab Equipment will make diagnosing health issues much easier and more reliable. Most of the kits have been approved by the WHO, ensuring they are very accurate.

This means doctors can quickly and accurately identify illnesses, leading to better patient care and faster treatment.

The new product lineup includes:

STANDARD M10: A point-of-care testing module for diagnosing infectious diseases such as

- Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

- Dengue, tuberculosis (TB)

- HPV

- Respiratory infections including flu and COVID-19

STANDARD F (2400 and 200): A next-generation analyser for diagnosing a range of conditions including

- thyroid profiles

- cardiac markers for heart conditions

- Dengue

- Gastrointestinal infections

- HbA1c levels for diabetes

- Inflammation markers for infections

- Vitamin D levels

- Beta HCG
