New road redevelopment project in Male' and Villimale' secured with China

In a significant development, the Government of Maldives and the Government of China have formalized an agreement for a feasibility study on the road redevelopment project in Male' and Villimale'.

The agreement was signed today at a ceremony in Beijing.

Representing the Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, Minister of Construction and Infrastructure, signed the agreement.

On behalf of the People's Republic of China, H.E. Luo Zhaohui, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), affixed his signature.

The agreement outlines a comprehensive feasibility study for redeveloping the roads in Male' and Villimale'.

This study will assess the economic and technical viability of the project, providing essential insights needed for its advancement.
