Minister of Islamic Affairs in Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, has been appointed as a member of the Supreme Council of the Muslim World League (MWL).

This prestigious appointment to the highest authority within MWL was made by Secretary General Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Issa, as confirmed by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

The Muslim World League, established in 1962, serves as the largest international association of the Islamic world, headquartered in Mecca.

It plays a crucial role in Islamic outreach, education, and governance, operating numerous universities, colleges, and Quran centers worldwide.

Dr. Shaheem's inclusion in the Supreme Council underscores his esteemed status within the global Islamic community.

Notably, he has also been recognized among the "500 Most Influential Muslims in the World."

As a member of the Supreme Council, Dr. Shaheem will contribute to shaping and implementing key initiatives approved by the MWL's General Secretariat.
