The British High Commission in Male’ has donated First Aid Training equipment to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), aiming to strengthen the company’s capacity to respond to emergencies and deliver lifesaving care.

The donation forms part of the UK Government’s Protective Security & Attack Response Program (PSARP), a nationwide initiative to enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities across the Maldives.

According to the British High Commission, the new equipment will enable MACL’s frontline staff to deliver critical first aid, bolstering safety measures for the estimated 125,000 British tourists who visit the Maldives each year, as well as the general public.

Acting British High Commissioner Toff Wahab said the donation underscores the UK’s commitment to public safety in the Maldives.

This donation demonstrates our commitment to working with Maldivian partners to enhance public safety and emergency response capabilities. By supporting MACL with this vital first aid training equipment, we're helping to ensure that frontline staff have the tools they need to save lives in emergency situations.
