President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu emphasized the importance of securing a parliamentary majority to pass over 200 pending bills required to fulfill the administration's pledges.

Speaking at an event near the Hiyaa Flats in Hulhumale' Phase 2 on Tuesday night, he underscored the necessity of winning the upcoming parliamentary elections to achieve optimal results for the nation.

Highlighting the significance of parliamentary approval for the budget, President Muizzu noted that the current budget being implemented was not formulated by his administration. He expressed concerns about project bills being modified by the MDP majority parliament, necessitating further adjustments.

President Muizzu outlined key bills awaiting passage, including those related to land, housing, and real estate, crucial for shaping the country's development in line with global standards. He stressed the importance of electing ruling People's National Congress (PNC) candidates to ensure legislative progress.

To implement the manifesto, there are more than 200 bills to be passed. Among the most important are a new bill on land, a new bill on housing, a new bill on real estate, and bills designed to shape things as they are in developed, densely populated cities around the world. These things cannot be achieved unless we opt for people who will facilitate these efforts. Unless we pass them, it will be difficult to fulfill the pledges

President Dr Muizzu stated

Reiterating his administration's lack of support from the opposition-led parliament, President Muizzu urged voters to choose representatives who will facilitate legislative efforts and bring about positive change.
