Austrian National flight carrier Austrian Airlines begins direct flight to the Maldives on Tuesday. 

The airline will operate flights from the Austria’s Vienna International Airport to  Velana International Airport. The airline is scheduled to operate three flights per week. 

The airline is set to use Boeing 777-200s aircraft for their operations to the Maldives. 

Austrian Airlines joins a list of major international airlines which have resumed flights to the Maldives for the winter season. Austrian Airlines had previously carried out direct flights to the Maldives during last year’s winter season.
