Foreign Minister Shahid travels to Oman as President Solih's personal representative.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid visited Oman on company duties as President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's special representative.
Minister Shahid will meet with his counterpart, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, during the visit. He will also deliver a letter from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman, and they will discuss how to strengthen their bilateral cooperation as well as pertinent multilateral issues and priorities.
Minister Shahid is scheduled to meet Salem bin Mohammed Al-Mahrouqi, Oman's Minister of Heritage and Tourism and the two will also speak with the Oman Investment Authority to discuss ways to work together on tourism and investment projects.
Mohamed Khaleel, the non-resident ambassador of the Republic of the Maldives to Oman, and Fathimath Najwa, the joint secretary of the ministry of foreign affairs, are accompanying foreign minister Shahid.
