President Dr.Mohamed Muizzu invites Chinese President  Xi Jinping to visit Maldives.

According to the joint press communication released by president's office, both sides expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the visit. Both sides agreed that the visit is very important for the development of the China-Maldives Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Partnership.

According to the joint press communication, during the talks between the two sides, President Mohammed Muizzu thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Chinese Government and the people of China for their warm hospitality.

He also invited the Chinese leaders to visit Maldives at convenient times. The two sides also agreed to continue communications through diplomatic channels.

The highlight of the President's visit to China was the Invest Maldives Forum, which highlighted investment opportunities in Maldives.

More than 300 investors from China alone attended the forum, which highlighted the opportunities for Chinese investors in Maldives. He highlighted the opportunities for Chinese investors in carrying out major development projects in various sectors.

In addition, agreements on various Chinese assistance for various projects were signed and discussions were held.
