HPA issues a warning against the use of Allersine eye drops

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has issued a warning against the use of "Allergin Eye Drop."

In a notification issued by HPA the country's drug regulator, National Pharmaceutical Authority informed that some batches of Allergin Eye Drop drug manufactured by Malaysian company DuoPharma have defects.

The numbers of these batches with defects are 200230L, 200827L,193033L, 200608L, 200607L, and 200825L.

HPA stated two of the faulty batches of Allersine eye drops were confirmed to have been imported and sold in the Maldives.

According to HPA, they are contacting authorized product sellers and recalling the medicines from the market. 

HPA has advised importers of medicines is advised to pay special attention as a precautionary measure.
