Opposition is Jealous of President's COVID Management: Azim
Adam Azim, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTCC, expressed that the opposition harbors feelings of envy towards the commendable management of the COVID-19 situation in the Maldives by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Azim made this statement during his address at the inauguration ceremony of a harbor in Faafu Atoll Dharabandhoo, coinciding with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's visit to the Faafu Atoll.
“During the global COVID-19 pandemic, the manner in which President Solih handled the situation in the Maldives became a cause for envy among the opposition, rather than being acknowledged with gratitude. President Solih emerged as a formidable challenge and a threat to those aspiring to assume leadership of our nation."

Furthermore, Azim stated that the opposition resorted to fabricating untrue narratives due to their lack of substantive issues to discuss.
Azim emphasized the ongoing projects undertaken by MTCC during the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting that government initiatives were being implemented on every island. He remarked that certain individuals struggled to come to terms with this reality.
Azim expressed his appreciation for the significant progress achieved by the government in various sectors such as the economy, healthcare, social welfare, education, and more. He acknowledged that the citizens of the country highly value the development brought about by this administration.
