Jumhooree Party’s presidential candidate and leader Qasim Ibrahim has stated that he will be using a foreign policy similar to that of former president Ibrahim Nasir. Qasim stated this in a tweet.

After the official declaration of Qasim as the presidential candidate for JP and that JP will be running for the presidential elections, the party has been revealing some of their political strategies. 

Qasim mentioned in his tweet that he will be using former presidents Ibrahim Nasir and Maumoon Abdul Gayoom as examples to use the foreign policy. Qasim stated that JP will also use an international policy as such.

One of the most criticized aspects of the current government is how the foreign policies have been formed. 

Opposing parties have criticized the government by saying that the current foreign policy is very dependent on India.
