Four people have been arrested during an opposition protest on Thursday night.

The protest was organised by the opposition PPM-PNC Coalition. The protest calls on the government's failure to fulfil its promise to fishermen. 

The opposition started the protest at 9:00 pm.

According to the Opposition, police had tried to disperse a massive number of youths who had attended the protest. During this protest, four PPM members had been arrested.

The opposition stated the police had used excessive force to disperse the protest and noted that several had been injured during Thursday night's protest.
