The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has received a portable hyperbaric transport unit designed to support the emergency treatment and medical evacuation of individuals injured in diving-related incidents.

The specialized equipment was donated by Hyperbarics Europe and formally handed over to the MNDF.

Chief of Defense Force Major General Ibrahim Hilmy accepted the portable pressure chamber on behalf of the Maldivian military.

The unit is designed to provide a controlled pressurized environment during the transportation of patients, allowing emergency care to begin while divers are being transferred for further medical treatment.

Hyperbaric transport units can play an important role in responding to serious diving emergencies, particularly in cases where rapid treatment and safe evacuation are required.

The equipment is expected to strengthen the MNDF's capacity to respond to diving-related incidents and support life-saving medical interventions.

The MNDF expressed its appreciation to Hyperbarics Europe for donating the equipment, describing the addition as an important resource for enhancing emergency response capabilities in the Maldives.
