Counselor Mr. Jishnu Prasanna Mukherjee of the Indian High Commission has met with Indian teachers, healthcare professionals and workers in GDh. Thinadhoo as part of efforts to strengthen engagement with Indian nationals living and working across the Maldives.

The meeting was held during an Open House session in Thinadhoo on August 23 and was attended by a number of Indian expatriates employed on the island.

The session provided an opportunity for participants to raise concerns and discuss challenges they face while living and working in the Maldives.

The meeting also focused on identifying possible ways to address issues affecting members of the Indian community.

During the session, Counselor Mukherjee provided information on development projects and community welfare initiatives being carried out through cooperation between India and the Maldives.

He also highlighted ongoing efforts by the Indian High Commission to work with Maldivian authorities in addressing concerns and difficulties faced by Indian citizens in the country.

The Thinadhoo meeting forms part of a broader series of outreach programs organized by the Indian High Commission to maintain close contact with Indian expatriates and engage with communities working in different regions of the Maldives.
