A 45-year-old man was found dead at a guest house in the Maafannu area of Male’ City.

The Maldives Police Service said it received a report regarding the incident at approximately 5:51 p.m. on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Ibrahim Naeem, 45, of Oceanic Villa in HA. Molhadhoo.

Police have launched an investigation into the death and are working to establish the circumstances that led to the incident.

Authorities have not yet disclosed further information regarding the cause of death or whether anyone else was involved.
