Maldives and Saudi Arabia reaffirm commitment to stronger bilateral ties
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met with a visiting delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during a courtesy call at the President's Office, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two countries.
The Saudi delegation was accompanied by Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the Maldives Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani during the meeting.
President Dr. Muizzu conveyed the Maldives' appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for Saudi Arabia's continued support and contributions to the Maldives' socioeconomic development.
The visiting delegation expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended by President Dr. Muizzu and the Maldivian government during their visit.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their shared commitment to further enhancing the close and longstanding ties between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia through continued cooperation.
Cabinet ministers and senior officials from the President's Office also attended the meeting.
