Maldives Inflight Catering's revenue for last year nears MVR 1 billion
Maldives Inflight Catering (MIC) recorded strong financial growth in 2025, with total revenue approaching the MVR 1 billion mark, according to audited financial statements released by the Auditor General's Office.
The company generated USD 59.9 million in revenue during the fiscal year, equivalent to approximately MVR 923.6 million.
MIC also reported an operating profit of USD 17 million, or more than MVR 262 million.
Catering services remained the company's largest source of income, contributing USD 28.6 million in revenue.
Cabin handling services generated an additional USD 5.8 million.
The company's hospitality operations also delivered significant earnings. Hulhule Island Hotel recorded USD 5.4 million in room revenue and USD 4.4 million from food and beverage services.
Meanwhile, MIC's resort operations generated a combined USD 14.8 million from accommodation and dining services.
On the expenditure side, administrative expenses exceeded MVR 394 million during the year.
The company reported a pre-tax profit of MVR 260.5 million, while net profit after tax reached MVR 222.04 million.
The balance sheet also showed that MIC's trade receivables stood at USD 10.5 million, equivalent to approximately MVR 161 million, reflecting outstanding payments owed to the company at the end of the reporting period.
