President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will continue his regular press briefings in the weeks ahead, confirmed Chief Spokesperson at the President’s Office, Heena Waleed.

She noted that the weekly sessions will proceed according to the established schedule, despite the absence of a briefing this week.

During his Presidential Address earlier this year, President Muizzu announced his decision to hold regular media engagements every Monday, marking a new commitment to open communication and transparency between the government and the press.

To further strengthen the close and friendly relationship I share with the media, and to provide information directly, I will, God willing, meet with journalists every Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00, starting this March. I intend to maintain this schedule consistently, unless it is interrupted by official travel, public holidays, or other unavoidable circumstances,

the President stated

Heena reaffirmed that the press briefings will continue to be organized in line with the President’s outlined procedure, adding that scheduling announcements will be made accordingly.

Therefore, we will continue to announce the scheduling of these press briefings in the coming weeks, in line with the established procedure,

The Chief Spokesperson added

The initiative underscores the President’s emphasis on fostering transparency, strengthening ties with the media, and ensuring that information is directly shared with the public.
