Maldives Immigration has introduced three new passport-related services to its IMUGA portal, further advancing efforts to digitise public services.

The newly added services allow citizens to:

- Change passport collection locations

- Apply for official passport copies

- Access records of previously issued passports.

According to Immigration, these updates are part of a broader initiative to modernise administrative processes and improve public convenience.

Previously, requests such as changing collection points required submitting formal letters, while applications for passport copies had to be made via email.

With the latest upgrade, these services are now handled through a centralised and streamlined system within the IMUGA portal.

The platform, launched in 2020, continues to serve as the main digital gateway for immigration services, including visa processing.
